Voice

Direct. Dry. Pro.

InkLube talks the way a working tattooer talks to another working tattooer. We don’t use “journey,” we don’t use “self-care moment,” and we don’t put exclamation points on aftercare instructions. We say what the product does and what it doesn’t, and we let the work speak.

Use: heal, hydrate, stock, carry, restock, fresh ink, working artists, shops.
Avoid: journey, glow-up, self-care, bestie, magic, miracle, all-natural-everything.

Boilerplate

Approved copy, three lengths.

50 words. InkLube is a plant-oil tattoo aftercare cream made in small batches in the USA. Thirteen ingredients, all printed on the jar, with no petrolatum, no lanolin and no fragrance. The same jar works as a session glide for artists and as take-home aftercare for clients.

100 words. InkLube is a plant-oil tattoo aftercare cream built for the working end of the tattoo industry. The formula runs on thirteen plant-derived ingredients — mango seed butter, sweet almond oil, jojoba, sea buckthorn, vitamin E and beeswax among them — and deliberately leaves out the three things that dominate drugstore tattoo balms: petrolatum, lanolin and fragrance. Petroleum seals a fresh tattoo completely when it needs to breathe; lanolin and fragrance are common irritants on skin that has just been through a needle. The full INCI is printed on every jar rather than hidden behind a proprietary blend. Made in small batches in the USA.

One line. InkLube — plant-oil tattoo aftercare, petroleum-free, lanolin-free, fragrance-free, made in the USA.

Please do not alter the wordmark, recolour it, or place it on a background that reduces contrast below legibility. For anything not covered here — additional photography, founder interviews, sample product for review — email the press address above and a person will reply.

Using this kit

What the InkLube press kit covers.

InkLube press kit — product photography of the 2 oz jar

The InkLube press kit above is free to use without asking: the wordmark, product photography, founder background and approved boilerplate in three lengths. If you need something that is not here — additional angles, a higher-resolution file, sample product for a review, or a founder interview — the press address goes to a person, not a queue.

Two accuracy notes worth having before you publish. The range is three sizes: 1/2 oz, 1 oz and 2 oz. And the formula is plant-oil based and vegetarian, not vegan — it contains beeswax, which we have kept because the tested alternatives did not perform as well. Getting that detail right matters more to us than the flattering version.

For background when writing about the category, the FDA fact sheet on tattoos and permanent makeup is the standard primary source on tattoo inks and skin reactions.

Anything in the InkLube press kit can be used without asking, credited or not — that is the point of publishing it. If you need something the InkLube press kit does not cover, including product for review or a founder interview, the press address reaches a person directly.
